On Monday 27th February we spent the day in the hall participating in an amazing entry point activity. We were asked by Mrs Lloyd and Miss McIntosh to create a transporting system for water.
Mrs Lloyd told us all about how the Romans used structures called aqueducts. We looked at examples of how they used an arch like bridge to transport the water they used. We found it useful to see how the aqueducts sloped gradually at an angle and this was something that we would need to consider.
We then planned, designed and made our own water transporting system in groups using junk modelling materials. At the end of the day we tested our carriers and made suggestions for how to improve them.
